lessismore releases gideon his debut album

The first album on lessismore is a fact. Gideon his nonamenofacenonumber consists of 3 vinyls. Musically Gideon gives a new approach to the old dub style that is done by so many. Gideon his love for this style is big but his approach is different and unique. An uncompromising and daring masterpiece for the lovers of Detroit flavoured and deep rollin' techno.

Quotes on Beatport: Gideon’s new album ‘No Face No Name No Number’ is typical Gideon, filled with dark dubby house and techno.

Here on part 3 of his LP, sounds move in and out of focus, beats collide and contort but at the heart of every one of his tracks is a simple, yet effective techno groove.

‘Impossible Quest’ makes use of progressive pads and filtered vox feedback, but is based on minimal production values.

‘Lonely Space’ is totally underground techno, a simple groove is locked down whilst noises and electronic sounds fire and bounce around without any real sense of purpose – it sounds like a tornado entered Gideon’s sampler and screwed things up.

It isn’t all soulless techno though – ‘Historical Harzard’ displays a lively soulful element, that jigs and jumps around below organ stabs and pads.

Final track ‘In The Nick of Time’ sounds like Alex Smoke on dope.

A very underground ep.
