Tilburg born and raised Paul “Noes” Notenboom has his roots in the Dutch graffiti scene since 1984. Nowadays he is one of the best-known techno DJ’s in the south of Holland. His musical interests are ranging from the early 80’s hip-hop till modern forefront electronic music. With his precisely DJ skills, long-time club experience and most of all, his excellent choice of records; Noes knows what it takes to make a crowd dance.

In his hometown Tilburg he is known as one of the pioneers of the local techno scene since the early ‘90’s when he started DJ-ing at Strictly Underground. This concept was created in a time when the word ‘mainstream’ still had to be invented. These old school underground parties gained a lot of success in those days. These parties seemed to be the start of Noes’ journey into the world of electronic music. For over 15 years Noes’ sound is ever evolving and fresh like the first days. No question about it; the best years are still to come...

Making name in the late 90’s with his DJ sets throughout the Dutch club scene, Noes was asked to play at the opening of the 013 Pop venue in Tilburg. 013 Is known as one of the most important music venue’s build around Europe since the late nineties. His first gig there was such a big success that he became one of the few resident DJ’s of this venue.

Besides his DJ activities Noes has a long history in organizing events as well. Concepts like Local Clash, Transistor, Ureka and Anticlub had an important influence on the development of techno in the Noord Brabant region. His most known project is the City Sounds festival, which reached her top in 2004. With over 35.000 party people and 50 artists spread over 6 different areas in the centre of the city Tilburg.

In 2008 Noes decided only to focus on his Anticlub residency and his activities as a producer.
At this moment Noes is working in his studio to finish his debut releases for several Anticlub related labels like Minimalplus and Grayarea. Noes’ sound will reflect his long-time club experience and will bring his past to the future. Like his DJ sets the sound will be warm and danceable, a well-balanced blend of beats and melody.

As a key player in the southern Dutch techno scene, Noes managed to share the decks with all the big shots in electronic music. Noes performed with artists like Jeff Mills, Luke Slater, Robert Hood, Surgeon, Ben Sims, Scan 7, Technasia, Underworld and many others...
