One most remarkable phenomenons in house and techno music nowadays is the merger between styles. It is not done anymore to confirm to one style, minimal is só 2006 and techno is dead….. For mbc this is very old news, he has never committed himself to one style and always had a love for the oldschool detroit and chicago sound. This does not mean that he only plays outdated music, no way!

1977 was the year Elvis kicked the bucket, the first Star Wars movie was released and mbc saw his first daylight. Since that moment he has been living in the city of Eindhoven in the south of the Netherlands. This city is the home of Philips, the place where the cd was invented and offcourse in the mid 50’s the first steps in electronic music composition were made. Maybe not so strange that MBC loved composing and spinning electronic music right away. Mid 90’s he was dj-ing, producing and throwing parties that untill this moment are famous in the region.

After a deserving dj carreer of about 10 years things, suddenly got a lot more serious. In 2003 he started the succesfull label “lessismorecordings” together with his partner in crime gideon. Tribal beats and chordish detroit sounds are the solid basis for the unique, and nowadays much copied, trademark lessimore sound. Biggest succes for mbc was lessismorecordings 005 with the “untitled too” track, played by almost all the big techno names around the globe. Releases on other labels like grayarea and anticlub followed almost instantly.

Like any aspiring dj producer he wanted to play big venues and festivals. PLaying venues like Berghain and festivals like Extrema Outdoor, sharing stages with almost all of his former idols and getting recognition for his production style make mbc thankfull….but not satisfied. The drive remains to keep improving and developing. With a background as a real estate developer, one can imagine that he needs a solid base for his operations. Therefore mbc is very proud to be a resident at the anticlub events all around Holland.

In the second half of 2008 new releases and remixes can be expected on lessimorecordings. Futhermore remixes will appear on Heiko Laux’s true techno label Kanzleramt. On top of this all mbc will be starting his own imprint called Dandylion on which one can expierience housey and warm side of this talented producer.
